Denis A. Michel
A graduate of the Faculty of Law at l'Université de Moncton and called to the bar in 1988, Mr. Michel is currently a Partner at Michel & Vincent Law, and is fluently bilingual.

Professional and Community Involvement: Mr. Michel is particularly active in the community sports, as the Past-President of Sudbury Minor Hockey Association and as Past-Director of Sudbury Sports North. MR. Michel has been a minor hockey coach for over 20 years and has been a participant and advisor to a number of other athletic organizations. Mr. Michel is also a member of the Criminal Lawyers Association of Ontario and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association.
Danielle Vincent
Danielle is originally from Ottawa but has lived in Sudbury since 1994. She graduated from the Forensic Science program at Laurentian University following which she attended law school at the University of Western Ontario. Danielle graduated from that program in April 2010, having focused on criminal law and completed the Criminal Law Area of Concentration. After being called to the bar in 2011, she returned to Sudbury to practice. Danielle is currently a partner at Michel & Vincent Law/Avocats and is fluently bilingual.

Danielle has appeared before both the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice in criminal matters involving both adult and youth accused. Danielle is a member of the Criminal Lawyers Association, the Sudbury District Law Association and l'Association des juristes d'expression française de l'Ontario.
Danielle is also a long-standing member of the Elizabeth Fry Society of Northeastern Ontario's board of directors and currently serves as the First Vice-President on the Executive Committee of the Sudbury District Law Association.


Melissa Sullivan
Melissa was born and raised in Sudbury. She obtained a specialized Bachelor of Arts in Law and Justice from Laurentian University in 2011. She then moved to New Brunswick where she completed her Juris Doctor degree at l’Université de Moncton.
She also plead in several mooting competitions, including the Gale Cup in Toronto. Called to the bar in 2015, Melissa is fluently bilingual.

Professional and Community Involvement: Melissa is very involved within the Greater Sudbury community and sits on various boards. She was the vice president of the Board of Directors for the Northern Youth Services, which provides custodial and non-custodial services for young offenders. She was also the Chair of the French Languages Advisory Committee for that board.
In addition, she has been a Director on the board for the Caisse populaire Vallée Est limitée, and the board for La Nuit sur l’étang. She further sat on the Municipal Election Compliance Audit Committee for the 2018 municipal elections.
Michael Michel
Michael is an associate lawyer at Michel and Vincent Law. Born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario, Michael obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Law and Justice from Laurentian University, where he graduated magna cum laude. He then obtained his Juris Doctor from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University, where he completed specializations in Criminal Justice and Aboriginal and Indigenous Law. Michael was called to the bar in February 2023.

During law school, Michael was an Academic Peer Mentor, volunteered with Pro Bono Students Dalhousie, and completed a for-credit judicial clerkship at the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal. He has received numerous awards and scholarships for his academic achievement, and has been published in the Dalhousie Law Journal, the Manitoba Law Journal, and the Dalhousie Journal of Legal Studies. His next publication is forthcoming in the Criminal Law Quarterly.
Michael completed his articles at Michel and Vincent Law, and has been a student at our firm since 2020. He is a member of the Criminal Lawyers Association and the Sudbury District Law Association, and looks forward to obtaining the best possible outcome for his clients.
